Start-Teatro Festival kicks off with the play “Utopia”

Today, the show starts at 9:30 pm, and tomorrow's rerun is scheduled for 5 pm. The Teens group will be on stage, with a play that starts with a country declaring war on another country. "A group of young people from the country that declared war on the other decide to head towards the country that is going to be attacked, to serve as human shields. In this show we follow the collective memory of these friends about the journey there, questioning whether it is such a great utopia to want to live in a world in peace", says the synopsis. The text of this play is based on the work “Human Shields” by Patrícia Portela. The staging and dramaturgy are by Rita Camões Reis, with creative support from Cláudia Stattmiller, head of the Start-Teatro school.
